There is no downtime after a cortisone injection. You may see a tiny mark at the injection site, and makeup can usually be applied a few hours later. Avoid picking or squeezing the area so it can heal cleanly.

Because cortisone treats individual breakouts rather than the cause of acne, we often pair it with a longer term plan such as chemical peels, a skin care routine, or a referral when medical acne treatment is needed.
